Why We Have a Fair Use Policy
At HR Hive, we believe great HR support should feel human, responsive, and personal — not transactional. That’s why we offer flexible, subscription-based services designed to support your business when you need us most.
To make sure we can give every client the care and attention they deserve, we’ve put this Fair Use Policy in place. It helps us balance the needs of all our subscribers and ensures that our services remain sustainable and high-quality for everyone.
What Fair Use Looks Like
Your subscription gives you access to dedicated HR expertise, but it’s important to remember that HR Hive is not an unlimited resource or a full-time internal hire.
Fair use means:
• Using your included hours for meaningful, value-adding HR support
• Respecting that larger or complex projects may need to be scoped separately
• Being mindful of response time expectations — we’ll always respond promptly, but urgent turnaround may not always be possible
• Keeping routine requests (like document reviews or quick advice) within reason
• Booking meetings or calls in advance where possible
What’s Outside of Fair Use
We’ll always let you know (kindly and clearly) if something feels like it’s moving outside your subscription scope.
Examples might include:
• Repeated requests for work significantly exceeding your included hours
• Large-scale or intensive projects (like restructures, high-volume recruitment, or enterprise-wide policy development)
• Complex or highly bespoke legal documentation (remember we’re HR, not lawyers)
• Requests for work outside of agreed consulting hours (9 AM – 5 PM Sydney time, Monday to Friday) unless pre-approved
If this happens, we’ll have a conversation with you first — and offer a solution, whether that’s scoping additional work, recommending alternative support, or helping you plan next steps.
How We’ll Handle It
1. We’ll flag any fair use concerns early — before they become an issue.
2. We’ll be transparent about any extra costs for work beyond your subscription.
3. We’ll always aim to find a solution that works for both of us.
This isn’t about catching anyone out. It’s about protecting what makes HR Hive special trusted, human partnerships built on fairness, clarity, and respect.
